That said, this argument about why the Max Payne games are better doesn't seem to hold water with me.īasically, what I'm saying, is that while the Max Payne games are better, it isn't really because of gameplay, IMO, the gameplay was better, though almost identical to Max Payne, because of the added HtH Combat moves it has over Max Payne. EtM had Sniper rifles with scopes as well. The other thing that's bugging me about the debate over which one was better, was that one of the key things that made me decide to get Max Payne was that First Person Mode in EtM was a joke (which it admittedly was), but it seems to me that other than when you're using a gun with a scope, neither do either of the Max Payne games. Other than storyline, I think the only difference I found was EtM had waaaay cooler Hand-to-Hand combat sequences than either of the Max Payne games.
While both of them had a much better storyline then EtM, other then that I found the two of the quite similar. Well, even though I already had EtM, I took everyone's advice, and bought Max Payne, I liked it so much, I bought Max Payne 2 as well.
